So, whether you are curious about reconnecting with your inner self, finding harmony or simply adding more joy to your journey, this conversation is sure to inspire and ignite your path. So let's quickly dive in listeners. Carolyn, welcome to the show and, as always, it's an absolute pleasure having you with us today.
Speaker 2:Oh, thank you so much for having me. Yes, the pleasure is absolutely mine.
Speaker 1:Lovely, lovely. So, Callan, when we talk about pleasure and sensuality, you know they're often misunderstood or overlooked. In personal development, they're not even talked about much. So how would you define the role they play in living a fulfilling and empowered life?
Speaker 2:Yes, that's absolutely true what you said about it is overlooked, it is not talked about, and I had to discover it for myself. So when I started my personal development journey three years ago, I was attracted by this masculine energy. That means there were masculine teachers out there and I was attracted by them because me as a woman, I used to mask or hide my feminine energy in order to compete in the market right In economics, in the economy, I had an accounting company, so I was really rational and logical in my whole life, and then I was attracted into that personal development world by the masculine and and only last year no, I mean 2023 I discovered the, the feminine part, that it is important as well, and that means I tapped into my intuitive side, like I listened to my inner voice and then to what the inner voice was telling me, and then I was doing this instead of being structured all the time and plan my day, and you know what I'm talking about interesting.
Speaker 1:That is interesting. So, uh, the idea of balancing masculine and feminine energy can sound abstract. So can you explain how this balance impacts our ability to embrace joy and also make choices which align, maybe, with our values?
Speaker 2:Yes, balancing means first of all, to recognize that there is always both energies, masculine and feminine, in everything, so not in every human, but also in everything like a cell phone or a glass of water or whatever you want to call it. You can recognize it, you have to be open to it. And I love what you said about balancing, because only if we balance it then we have the full power and we also can open up and live our life full of you mentioned sexuality, sensuality and with all our senses.
Speaker 1:Right, yeah, yeah, true, true, I agree. You know society often prioritizes productivity and logic over creativity and sensuality. So how do you encourage people to overcome this imbalance and reconnect with their intuitive, playful side?
Speaker 2:Yes, first of all, I find out if this is really what they are experiencing right now. Really what they are experiencing right now, if they are too rational, too structured, always planning, always having a to-do list or something you know planning the day, and then I encourage them to just sit down. They can sit down two or three minutes every hour and then listening to their feelings like how do I feel? They can ask themselves. And then it takes a little time, not only a day or a minute or an hour.
Speaker 1:It can take three months or so to form the new habit of really listening and feeling, the feelings you have, and then we are disconnected from our sensuality due to absolute stress or societal norms. So what are some practical ways you recommend listeners can start to rediscover and celebrate this aspect of themselves yes, so as.
Speaker 2:So, as you said before, we always need both sides of ourselves in order to be balanced, and also we have this law of rhythm. You know the law of rhythm, that we have times that we are very active and in the doing part doing, doing, doing, and then we need time to relax and to let ourselves go, and then we can turn on our imagination and imagine great things for ourselves, how we would like to be, especially also our sexual life, right, our sensations, what do we want to experience and how do we want to feel. When I think, what I recommend my clients is always to ask powerful questions, because the quality of your experiences depend on the quality of the questions you ask um, to yeah, to the universe, to god whatever you want to call it, to life. You can ask questions and then the answers will show up inside yourself and then you know exactly what to do next. This is the feminine part, right?
Speaker 1:yeah, that's right, that's right. Wow. Also, karen, can you share a moment from your journey where balancing these energies transformed the way you approached a challenging situation?
Speaker 2:Yes, absolutely so. As I said, I was very in the masculine competing world. I was an entrepreneur and then last year I tapped into this feminine and I allowed myself to feel and also to have those moments. Doing nothing. We would call it. You do nothing, you just sit there, and in your childhood you would have been punished for that. And why are you not doing your homework or why are you sitting around? You are useless, something like that. And the opposite is the case, because we are very creative in that moment and we all are creative beings. So you ask for something for aspects of my life. When I tuned into that so every time I gave myself time to rest, to relax and to visualize then I came out of this situation very powerful, with more energy, and I had more ideas what to do next.
Speaker 1:Wow. I think listeners can take some inspiration from this and apply it in their daily lives as well. Also in your experience how does embracing one's sensuality? It can enhance decision making and also personal empowerment.
Speaker 2:Yes, decision making is. It is when you act upon your intuition and you just act, you don't overthink it. Right, you follow your senses. But also it has to feel right. So that means when you are in a bad vibration, in a bad mood, then your decisions are not aligned with what your higher self wants you to do, with your purpose right. So you have to be very careful about that. And this is also when I um, when I tell my clients to to just sit there and do nothing, because whatever you do in that situation, when you are in a bad mood, then it can be wrong, or it can, it can go very in the wrong direction. You don't want to be there.
Speaker 1:So you have to acknowledge your senses as well, your intuition and then you know exactly what to do, right, right, some might argue, kaelin, that focusing on pleasure and sensuality can be indulgent or even counterproductive in achieving goals. So how do you counter this mindset while showing its value?
Speaker 2:I love the word pleasure and how you used it, and sometimes we think we don't deserve it, the things that are unpleasurable for us. We think it's not for us, it's only for other people. But that's not true. It's our birthright to feel that pleasure. And what I would say is there's a chapter in Think and Grow Rich which is very interesting. So he talks about the six motivations we have, like, for example, it is love, sex, sex and fear, as well as the motivator, but also a chapter about the transmutation of sexual energy, and this is a very powerful energy and we can transmute it into whatever we want. So I give you an example Of course, we can have those body pleasures all the time we want to have. They are available for us. We can also choose to turn it into creative work, like an art, piece of art or a book, for example, or this podcast we are doing. We create something very powerful and strong to inspire the listeners. Yes, this is what I would say definitely, definitely also.
Speaker 1:I mean, I don't know, maybe this question can be a bit um. So while embracing feminine energy, it can feel liberating. Others may feel it diminishes the importance of structure and discipline often associated with masculine energy. So how do you address this perceived conflict?
Speaker 2:So we always need both and we unlearned it or we didn't learn it to balance it. This is why we have certain problems in the world. I would say, when I name it, like war or hunger or something people don't have to eat, so we have to balance it. So it is not balanced on the world, and what you said is something about allowance, or so I would say, if you are a woman, are a woman, then allow yourself this sensation, of course, as men as well, no problem. No problem to do this. We are in, the men are dominating, right and with the logical mind. So I would encourage the women listeners to to act, to act upon those feelings and send sensations, because it is very important to show ourselves, to show up as the feminine part we have as well. We are the representatives of it, even though we always have both energies right.
Speaker 1:Yes, absolutely true. Wow. Also, you know, before we wrap up, you have interviewed so many thought leaders, so what have you learned about the importance of sensuality, energy balance and creating a life of authenticity and joy?
Speaker 2:It is very important and I think I only had two or three guests talking about sexuality and they are exploring, they are pioneers as well and we need this more and more to understand who we truly are, because this is a part of us and, as you said in the beginning, we are not talking about it so much, but it is there. We know this industry. It is always present, but we close our eyes. So if we really are open to it and balance the two energies, then we can have a fulfilled life, definitely, definitely.
Speaker 1:Great, great, Caroline, and if our listeners they wish to connect with you, how they can do that.
Speaker 2:Well, they can find me on LinkedIn as well. My name is Caroline Pisalski, as you said it, and then inspiredchoicetoday. There you find my podcast, and if you want to become a guest, it would be my pleasure to have you as the guest, or let's connect. I'm open to it.
